Category Archives: Patchwork and Quilting
Since I recycled some slightly small paper pieces I need to do another row each way to make it larger. I am hoping that when it is bound the colours will work. I had better start looking for piping/border fabric. Advertisements
I finished the binding on my sewing pouch last night. It is now ready to fill with sewing kit for my next project; hexagon cushion.I am still working my way through Jessica Alexandrakis’ book.
Have completed stitching the hexagons together for the first project in “Quilting on the Go” by Jessica Alexandrakis. There will be a pause now while they are quilted and made into the sewing kit… Definitely need to purchase ready cut templates soon so that i can get stitching again
Inspired by a book I picked up at Oast Quilters’ Library yesterday,”Quilting On The Go” by Jessica Alexandrakis”, I thought I would do some English patchwork over papers at our next Jo Blox meeting. I do not have a big quilt on the go at the moment and this would make a change from taking …
A quick and cosy throw for a lady who spends a lot of time sitting spinning/knitting/doing crochet.
The quilt is finished now with its green binding. There are quite a lot of joins since I only had a fat quarter of the fabric I liked! No fabric was bought specially for this quilt so that must be good for the stash?
Quilting is now finished; I ended up doing some free motion around the designs as well as in the ditch. Hopefully I will find a suitable fabric to bind it in my stash.
4 more blocks to go and a lot of blanket! Will hopefully finish the quilt blocks soon and be able to show you the quilt top. Introduced some new colours to the blanket…
Chose some florals and put borders round the first of my blocks. Hope to do some more tomorrow.
