Hexagons stitched and ready to go

Have completed stitching the hexagons together for the first project in “Quilting on the Go” by Jessica Alexandrakis. There will be a pause now while they are quilted and made into the sewing kit… Definitely need to purchase ready cut templates soon so that i can get stitching again

Ta Da-Quilt finished!

The quilt is finished now with its green binding. There are quite a lot of joins since I only had a fat quarter of the fabric I liked! No fabric was bought specially for this quilt so that must be good for the stash?

It is time to bind…

Quilting is now finished; I ended up doing some free motion around the designs as well as in the ditch. Hopefully I will find a suitable fabric to bind it in my stash.

Sewing outside

Using my Singer 99K ,recently purchased and made in 1951. With its new patchwork foot(from www.helenhowes–sewingmachines.co.uk-an excellent site for vintage/secondhand sewing machines) it sews beautifully.
