Monthly Archives: August, 2015
I did a little more knitting on the way home from the Cotswolds. Luckily the journey did not take as long as it did getting there. The Charlton scarf is growing. Since you know what it looks like by now I thought I would post some stitch bits from the folk museum.
Day 241 August 30th Been to some impressive Cotswold churches this weekend. There have been some lovely stitched kneelers . Usually they are quite bold in large gauge canvas. The ones above are fine gauge needlepoint and must have taken ages.
Day 240 29th August Doubt there will be much time for stitching later. I thought I would post a sewing machine from the servant’s room in the Holst Museum. There was also a sewing basket Which just goes to show you can find stitchy things everywhere!
Day 239 August 28th Stuck in traffic, but getting quite a lot of knitting done. Had hoped to be in the Cotswolds by now…..
Day 238 August 27th Need to work out exactly what I am going to do with these. I have quite a large pile already.
Day 237 August 26th Knitted a little more of my sock today. It’s going quite nicely .
Day 236 August 25th Tibby is inspecting the hexie flower I stitched at Jo Blox last night. I have knitted some sock but that is all today.
Day 235 August 25th I mentioned that the Star Wars fabric was selling well at Emporia Fabrics and ended up with a request for cushions . Luckily I already had some good feather pads in the loft and they made up quickly.
Day 234 August 23rd Just completed my Yuma top. This is it on the line, hot off the machine. Cannot promise when it will become a quilt though…
