Pears Harvested

The pears were ripe and ready today so I took advantage of the sun and dry weather to harvest them. I will put some in the fruit bowl to mellow, but fancy making some pear chutney this week.

Crochet top down cardi finished

I have just sewn the buttons on my cardi and it is now finished. I am very pleased with it. There is a little gape between the top buttons where it fits snugly(!). I think this will sort out with wear. A popper might help if not. The yarn-Riot by King cole-was great for crochet. …

Project completed – EPP hexagons

I finished the binding on my sewing pouch last night. It is now ready to fill with sewing kit for my next project; hexagon cushion.I am still working my way through Jessica Alexandrakis’ book.

Harvest

I picked the russets from our little apple tree today. Considering its size, it is a good harvest. Not many fruit have been explored by insects either. It makes up for no fruit at all on the greengage! It will not be long before the pears are ready-then it is a race against the wasps.

Hexagons stitched and ready to go

Have completed stitching the hexagons together for the first project in “Quilting on the Go” by Jessica Alexandrakis. There will be a pause now while they are quilted and made into the sewing kit… Definitely need to purchase ready cut templates soon so that i can get stitching again

More dishcloths

One in use and one just finished. It did not take me long to use the dishcloth yarn my friend Mandy kindly brought back from the States. If only other projects were finished so quickly… I must now get the cardi and patchwork completed. The ripple blanket is also calling.
